I have an 8 year old female cat. She is an outdoor cat and we have a cat door fitted so she can come and go and she wants. She doesn’t like snow and rain though and messes in the house if the weather isn’t to her liking. I’ve bought a litter tray but she won’t use it. How would I train her to use this?

I have had my 9 month old neutered male for 3 months now, he cam from a rescue home. He is quite nervy and wont stay outside in our lovely enclosed garden unless I am out there too, as soon as I go in even though he has been having a great time out there he will cry to come in. I really would like to put his litter tray outside but when I try that he will ‘hold on’ all day until I bring it in then use it. We really would like to at least have him use it outside. Any ideas?

Help! i really dont get why my one year old cat keeps doing this, We have bleached both the floor and the litter tray to prevent him smelling anything and change the cat litter every day. The litter doesnt even have to be dirty in order for him to do this. He has been neuted so im not thinking it is a way of marking his teretory or anything, We have also tried using different litter but this is the only one that he will go in, if we use any other kind he wees on the floor too!
Had anyone else has a problem like this and if so what did u do?

I have a 7 month old persian kitten who has always used his litter tray, To cut a long story short he has for the last 2 weeks stopped using his litter tray it and is now weeing & pooing on the kitchen floor. I have been advised by the vet to clean the area with biological washing liquid which has removed the smell but my kitten is still weeing & pooing …. How do I get him to use the litter tray again ??? Plus he has started spraying now as well …. Please help.

the litter tray was dirty so i decided to empty the whole tray, wash it, dry it,,,,, as i was opening the cat litter bag the cat walked in the litter tray and took a big piss, his legs got all wet

is that normal for it to pee in an empty box???? my cat has peed on many items in our home [my handbag, sons jacket, bean bag, bedrooms], im starting to think he pees wherever he feels like it

how can i stop him peeing in the wrong place??, he does use the cat litter, but i am too scared to let him run round the house when im out, so i leave him in the laundry while im out.

it my cat normal??? [hes 7 months old and neutered]

WE have one of those automatic self scooping up trays and love it. But its completely open and I’m not sure they even make a lid or cover for this design. Or if a cover would even keep a super curious baby out of the cat poop. What have other people done? Any tips?
ok let me add some info. We have two "outdoor" cats, so a pet door doesn’t work because those cats aren’t allowed inside. Also we don’t have an extra room or bathroom available. OUr place is tiny. Thank you so much for the advice but any other ideas? :)

she goes outside every day with my other cat, who does her buisness outside. though the kitten is very attached to me and wont go far away from where i am.

we tried taking the litter tray away to prompt her to go outdoors, but she still went in the same spot even though there was no litter tray,

please help, as i don’t know whether she will need a litter tray for the rest of her life, or this is just a phrase
