I’m getting a kitten and i’ve got a hooded cat litter tray but i’m not really sure where to keep it. My mum won’t like it in the kitten ’cause of hygiene and stuff. Was wondering where other cat owners keep theirs??

thanks

Whilst we were on holiday my cat started using a piece of carpet as his toilet. We thought it was because he was stressed as he stopped when we came back. Now he has started again. He will use the litter tray if shut in the room with it in but we dont want to keep him in one room. What can we do to get him using it again instead of the carpet?

I have had him for 6 years and he has been doing this for 3 months now. I haven’t moved the litter tray, we’ve had this tray for 1.5 years. He always pee’s in the tray. The tray is very big and his litter is changed every few days.

my cat refuses to use his litter tray as he is used to going outside to do it,
however being winter now i’m reluctant to let him out as it is just too cold he cries and scratches at the front door for me to let him out
is there anything i can do to get him to start using his tray again, the vet suggested putting soil in the tray so that its like outside, but he looks at it and cries ?

i changed his litter on tuesday. its the same stuff i usally buy.
why is he peeing more.

he sits on his tray for up to five minutes.

i dont understand why this is?

he is an indoor cat.

we have 2 cats the older 1 uses the tray ok but the newer 1 is pissing all over the place. I havent found any shite laying around so it must shit in the tray but doesnt seem to piss. How can we train her ?
we dont want to get rid of her but if we cant train her then it will have to go.
