How do you retrain a cat to use a litter tray?
I have a spayed male burmese from kitten (4 yrs) who is used to living in a house with a garden. In the next few days I am moving to a studio apartment which is on the 6th floor. He isn’t going to be able to go outside so how do I re-train a fully domesticated cat to start using a litter tray again?
He means too much and cost a fortune so not taking him just isn’t an option.
Thanks in advance, Niiro

i trained my kitty by putting her poop that she did around the house in to the litter box, then i put her in it and moved her pay around. she learned really quick. its natural to them
The same way you housebroke him. Provide a litter tray with soil (start with from the garden?) and slowly add litter.
Put some of his doings in the litter pan.
He is neutered not spayed, females are spayed.
But good job on getting him fixed!
