Also, why would he do this? We clean up after him, disinfect the chair, and even tried pepper, but nothing works, please help us with any advice you can give us.
Thanks
Thanks for everyones answers, the cat litter has been replaced, its always the one we use ever since we had him 2 and 1/2 years ago. The cat is 3 years old.
Help! i really dont get why my one year old cat keeps doing this, We have bleached both the floor and the litter tray to prevent him smelling anything and change the cat litter every day. The litter doesnt even have to be dirty in order for him to do this. He has been neuted so im not thinking it is a way of marking his teretory or anything, We have also tried using different litter but this is the only one that he will go in, if we use any other kind he wees on the floor too!
Had anyone else has a problem like this and if so what did u do?
the litter tray was dirty so i decided to empty the whole tray, wash it, dry it,,,,, as i was opening the cat litter bag the cat walked in the litter tray and took a big piss, his legs got all wet
is that normal for it to pee in an empty box???? my cat has peed on many items in our home [my handbag, sons jacket, bean bag, bedrooms], im starting to think he pees wherever he feels like it
how can i stop him peeing in the wrong place??, he does use the cat litter, but i am too scared to let him run round the house when im out, so i leave him in the laundry while im out.
it my cat normal??? [hes 7 months old and neutered]
I realise that cat litter in general is bad if eaten by the rabbit, but Ruby’s litter tray is toped with another tray with holes so that she does not step on her poop and urine. so she can’t get at the cat litter at all, also I have put a thin layer of hay and shredded paper on top of the cat litter in the bottom tray to prevent it from being inhaled ( I only put the cat litter because it is more obsorbing that hay alone and controls bad odours better). Is it still likely to cause her any problems. please help me because this is my first rabbit, so I am not very experienced!! thanks load!
thanks a lot for all your reply. I think I will use news paper layered with paper towel for now until i buy rabbit litter. I did not know that they had litter specifically for rabbit! Thanks again !
I want to make a tray that holds cat litter that I can put in the toilet. I want the lip to fit the bowl underneath the seat so that the seat comes down on top of it. Anyone have any ideas on how to construct something like this?
Cat litter is getting stuck in my cat’s paws and he’s tracking it ALL OVER my apartment. We have one those littler mats but it barely helps. The best solution we found so far was a very large pebble litter but it was discontinued. Any product suggestions would be very helpful.
I have 2 cats and have tried all different kinds of cat litter (scoopable, clay, expensive, cheap, etc…) and I find that no matter what I have an odor problem in about 2 days. I also find that my cats are pretty messy about it (they track litter everywhere when they are done). They are both "fixed" but they are both young (less than one year)and don’t seem to want to spend a lot of time being fastidious about their litter habits (are you kidding, that would take away from play time!) Maybe they just need to get a little older and slower. Any advice on quality of litter etc… would be appreciated!
discribing a litterbox that is anti coprophagan, cat litter box, the litterhouse litterbox. With carl & shane from a touch of love and barb and dan from litterhouse.com Inc. Interview from a paws for helth tips, animal planet network channel.
I rescued a cat recently, in the beginning he was going to his litter, however, I changed the cat litter into "Feline Pine" he started going off and on, more to the carpets. Any advise would be appreciated.
Also, any cat litter that is good.
I shook out the mat that is in front of my cat’s litter box and then pot it in the dryer with a Bounce sheet to fluff it up. Now my dryer smells like her litter box and anything I put in the dryer smells like cat litter. She didn’t get in there to go potty, I’m sure of that. I don’t use my dryer much but if I need to it’s a problem. How can I get this smell out?
i live in an apartment where i rent a room. the cat is allowed to roam freely but due to my landlords having a 1 year old, the cat litter box stays in my room. i clean it as i should but theres still the lingering odor of cat litter in my room and id like it gone. i use the litter made for small spaces along with the baking soda deodorizer you sprinkle in the box. any help?
Cat waste and Cat Litter boxes are potential biohazards. Toxoplamosis is one of the parasitic diseases spread by cats. Symptoms of toxoplamosis include fever, shortness of breath and neurological problems. If a mother-to-be contracts the disease in her first trimester, it can produce cysts in the brain of her unborn baby. This can lead to developmental abnormalities or even miscarriage. Other people with a weakened immune system, such as those infected with HIV & the elderly, may become seriously ill, and it can be fatal. The parasite can cause encephalitis (inflammation of the brain) and neurological diseases and can affect the heart, liver, and eyes (chorioretinitis). Women of childbearing age are at the greatest risk. Since our maids at Youve Got MAIDS are primarily women of childbearing age it would be morally wrong for our professional cleaning service to allow our maids to work with our Clients cats waste. Bottom line our house cleaners will vacuum up cat hair, but the maids dont touch cat litter boxes. To do anything else would be inconsistent with our guiding philosophy of treating our associates with respect and dignity.
She digs into the cat litter like a dog digs a hole, and cat litter is thrown everywhere. I tried to get one of those enclosed litter but she will still throw cat litter out the opening. What can I do?
