As many kittens get older, they get a bit fussier about their boxes and litter. Is there a cover on the box? If so take it off. Many cats do not like how well the cover holds in the smell. Are you scooping the box often enough? Try scooping more often, at least twice a day. And some cats require two boxes, one to pee in and one to poo in. Try adding the second box – no cover – and see if that doesn’t help. Clean the corner where she’s been pooping thoroughly with one of the enzymatic cleaners like Nature’s Miracle or Simple Solution – this will get rid of the smell.
maybe she’s having trouble climbing the tray ,replace it with a smaller one, but if not put the tray exactly on the place where she poos, and also put some litter soil on the tray, cats always poo and pee on soils
hehehehe you said poo
train it
put soil in the tray
maybe its not comfortable doin it in the tray
Maybe you need to train your cat.
Well, it may be that the litter tray is the slightest bit dirty. My cat does not use his litter tray unless it is completely clean.
Your kitten probably thinks the bathroom corner is more secure and private. Make sure the litter box is far away from the food bowl, best in a different room. Place the litter box in the bathroom corner she poops in and put the poop on the tray.
She’ll get the point & then you can move it later on when she gets used to it.
Cats are constable cleanliness!! Check the litter tray and wash it regularly. Also clean the poo off as soon she’s done it. If you have changed the litter sand recently, he might be not used to it. Mix the old sand (the one she’s used to) with the new one, gradually increasing the quantity of the new sand. Try to move the litter tray in the corner which she’s using it. Sprinkle some catnip on the sand, to attract her use the litter tray.
The same thing happened with my cat last summer. When you get a cat at a young age, chances are it will use a litter box if you provide one, it’s only natural. Since you said that when you first got her she was using her litter box, and has now suddenly stopped, then there must be a reason. There are quite a few possibilities, but I’m going to mention just a few of the most common. Cats are very hygienic, so it could be that your cat’s litter tray is not clean enough for her, some cats are less tolerant than others and this could be with you cat is refusing to use her litter tray. Another reason might be the area that her litter box is in. Make you should that you don’t change the place where your pet’s litter box is as this could confuse them. Or even if you have changed something in the area where your cat’s litter tray was for example, there might be something with a particular smell in the room that is irritating your cat. These are things which you should look into, and remember, all animals ave their own unique personality, so what works for one cat might not necessarily work for the other.
Happy kitty training
