Why does my cat want a litter tray AND to go outside..?
She has a litter tray, which she uses, but also like to go outside when its warm…but…if we get rid of the litter tray to encourage her to go outside to use the bathroom everytime, she goes into a corner of the kitchen and pees/shits there…why does she want both ?
As a kitten, she was out all the time, then only recently (last 2 years or so) she’s started wanting to use both…she’s almost 12 years old if it helps..

Because when you have a cat, it is obvious that you need a litter box in the home! It is a cat not a dog……..
clearly she is territorial in that part of the house why else would they poop in a litter box
Because she wants to know that she can come inside a have a place to pee/shit and outside
